Western District Health Service has an exciting opportunity for a newly graduated registered nurse to participate in the 2021 Graduate Nurse Program.
The overall aim of the Graduate Program is to provide facilitated support in the clinical environment for transferring existing knowledge into quality outcomes and developing further knowledge and skills to progress with independent learning and practice.
The program will provide an excellent foundation for future career advancement by providing participants with the opportunity to develop acute and aged care clinical skills supported by trained preceptors, practice development nurses and the graduate nurse program coordinator and educator.
The Graduate Nurse position provides a specialty aged care focus with three rotations throughout the aged care facilities of WDHS. A structured learning plan provides the framework for the development of leadership skills and knowledge required of an RN working in the Aged Care environment.

The successful applicant will hold, or be able to obtain, a current National Criminal Police Check. Dependant on your position you may be required to obtain a Working with Children Check Clearance, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check and / or NDIS Worker Screening Check. All successful applicants are to comply with WDHS immunisation and vaccination requirements.
