About the role
Western District Health Service has opportunities for Personal Services Assistant/s to join our committed Support Services team.
The Personal Service Assistant is a pivotal role within our health service as it provides support and customer service to patients and ward staff. The ability to work as part of a team is essential and previous experience in a health care setting is desirable. This position includes patient meal delivery, cleaning of patient rooms including infectious cleaning, some linen duties and general ward cleaning duties.
Food handling certificate and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
This position is primarily based in our acute wards at Hamilton Base Hospital, but as WDHS is a multi-campus organisation, the successful applicant may be required to work in Hamilton, Coleraine and Penshurst when and if required.

The successful applicant will hold, or be able to obtain, a current National Criminal Police Check. Dependant on your position you may be required to obtain a Working with Children Check Clearance, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check and / or NDIS Worker Screening Check. All successful applicants are to comply with WDHS immunisation and vaccination requirements.
