Our opportunity
The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for managing revenue accounting processes and ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements. This role focuses on preparing and reviewing revenue-related journals and reconciliations, tracking grants, and overseeing statutory lodgements, acquittals, and financial returns. The position also supports the monthly and annual reporting cycles, contributes to budget preparation, and provides financial insights to support operational decision-making. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Senior Accountant supports junior finance staff and provides guidance on accounting processes. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong attention to detail, sound knowledge of accounting principles, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in a public health setting.
