Classification: IN13 / IN14 

 

Hourly Rate: $ 25.7421 / $27.0789 and 12% Superannuation

 

 

About the Role

 

WDHS is seeking a motivated person to join the Hotel Services team at Penshurst & District Health Service.

 

The Food and Domestic Service Assistant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, basic cooking, food, vegetable and sandwich preparation, meal service and meal presentation, general cleaning (both in kitchen area and the facility), kitchen hand duties, meal delivery and meal collection. 

 

Experience in aged care and cooking would be an advantage and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.

This role also includes working in clinical and non-clinical areas of the Penshurst Campus and prospective applicants must be flexible in their availability to work shifts across seven days a week and should appreciate that this is a physically demanding position.

Penshurst is located near a never-failing spring and perched on one of Australia’s most significant volcanic landscapes, cosied up beside the now dormant volcano of Collorrer (Mount Rouse) which is home to wallabies, kangaroos and other native species.

There is a local bakery, grocery store, post office, fuel station, take away shop, rural merchandise business, flower/plant business and art gallery.
