Salary: $90,235.60 as per award

About the role

The Deputy Manager of Health Information Services is an integral team member of the Health Information Services (HIS) department who focuses on managing and improving the quality of health data and compliance with policy within WDHS. The Deputy Manager of HIS reports directly to the Manager of HIS.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for reporting to VEMD, VAED, AROC and ANZICS data whilst ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
  • Manage WDHS PRODA account.
  • Submit data for the Victorian Healthcare Experience Survey.
  • Manage the provision of patient information (internally and externally).
  • Manage Freedom of Information requests (with guidance from the Manager of HIS).
  • Assistance with medical records forms design/formatting for other departments.
  •  Staff education on the use of the electronic medical record, TrakCare.
  • Ensure confidentiality protocols and privacy principles of the Health Records Act and Privacy and Data Protection Act are always maintained.
  • Deputise for the Manager of HIS as required.
  • Other reasonable duties as directed by the Manager of HIS.

The successful candidate must have or obtain a National Criminal Police Check. Depending on the role, a Working with Children Check Clearance, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check, and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check may also be required.
