About the Role
WDHS is seeking a motivated person to join the WDHS Food & Domestic Services team, at the Penshurst Hospital. The Food & Domestic Services team provides support for the provision of food and beverages for residents, patients visitors and staff as required. Our hospitality team strives for excellence, ensuring WDHS produces quality and nutritious food for our patients and residents. The team is also responsible for ensuring a clean and pleasant environment for residents, patients, visitors and staff and this entails undertaking cleaning across the facility.
The Food and Domestic Services Assistant will be a welcomed team member and will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, basic cooking, food, vegetable and sandwich preparation, meal service and meal presentation, general cleaning in the kitchen and facility, kitchen hand duties, and meal delivery and collection. Food and Domestic Services staff work across kitchen duties and cleaning duties.
Experience in aged care would be an advantage and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
This role also includes working in clinical and non-clinical areas of the Penshurst Campus and prospective applicants must be flexible in their availability to work shifts across seven days a week and should appreciate that this is a physically demanding position.

The successful candidate must have or obtain a National Criminal Police Check. Depending on the role, a Working with Children Check Clearance, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check, and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check may also be required.
