About The Role:
Our Physiotherapy Department is seeking a Grade 1 or 2 Exercise Physiologist to work across various locations and programs within WDHS and provide comprehensive, client-centred Exercise Physiology services in a multi-disciplinary setting to in-patients, aged care residents and ambulatory care patients of Western District Health Services
The role of the Grade 1 & 2 Exercise Physiologists is primarily one of specialist clinical service provision of a comprehensive, providing client-focused care to Aged and Ambulatory care clients of the WDHS facilities.
Grade 1 Physiologists are supervised by Grade 2 Physiotherapists /Exercise Physiologists within their work area and will in turn have a variable degree of oversight for the allied health assistants and students, depending on their level of experience. All Exercise Physiologists have a duty to maintain appropriate, accurate and timely clinical, attendance and statistical records.
The role of the Grade 2 Exercise Physiologist is to take responsibility for ongoing education and supervision of junior staff, Allied Health Assistants and students and to support the Chief Physiotherapist in providing clinical leadership within the allocated area of responsibility.
You will Bring:
- Bachelor's Exercise Physiologist (or entry-level equivalent)
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Current driver's licence
- Willingness to travel within the rural service area as needed
