Fixed Term Part Time - Maternity leave replacement

76 hours per fortnight up until 28/11/2025,

then revert to 48 hours per fortnight until 07/03/2026

 

The National Centre for Farmer Health (a partnership between Western District Health Service and Deakin University) is seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant cover maternity leave. The National Centre for Farmer Health Administration Assistant will ensure that an efficient, effective and focused administrative service is provided to NCFH staff, community, students and collaborative partners. In performing these tasks, the Administration Assistant will be part of an innovative and multidisciplinary team. Activities will be undertaken in cooperation with the academic staff of Deakin University, School of Medicine and staff at Western District Health Service. The appointee is responsible for:

  • Taking an active role in the day-to-day clerical administration of the Centre;
  • Providing efficient, courteous, effective and timely administrative service to community;
  • Being a productive member of the staff at National Centre for Farmer Health in supporting colleagues;
  • Maintaining an effective and accurate filing system and contact list;
  • Participating in the NCFH activities or programs as required noting some travelling may be required.

You will bring:

  • Certificate IV level qualifications in Business or Administration or equivalent qualifications and/or experience.

The successful applicant will hold, or be able to obtain, a current National Criminal Police Check. Dependant on your position you may be required to obtain a Working with Children Check Clearance and / or NDIS Worker Screening Check. All successful applicants are to comply with WDHS immunisation and vaccination requirements.
