Classification: YP2 to YP9 based on experience

Salary Range:  A$67,527 to A$95,378 plus 11.5%Superannuation.

About the Role

 

An opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse(s) to join our innovative and committed team at Penshurst and District Health Service. This position will work across all areas of the facility.

Penshurst Campus comprises of 4 acute beds, 19 nursing home beds and 10 hostel aged care beds. Penshurst is located 30 kilometres from Hamilton and where the main campus of Western District Health Service is located.  The Registered Nurse works as part of the clinical team under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or delegate and at times may be required to be the Nurse in Charge of the Shift. The Registered Nurse works with the Endorsed Enrolled Nurses and Health Care workers to ensure person-centred care and evidence-based practice is provided to residents and patients in the facility.

The successful applicant will be involved in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of allocated and delegated nursing care activities to assist the patient/resident to meet care needs and health outcomes and have an understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards.

Please note you must have the right to work in Australia and be able to provide evidence of this.

You will bring:

    • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
    • Experience and knowledge in Aged Care 
    • Ideally, an understanding of the AN-ACC and Aged Care Standards
    • Wound management and the Montessori approach to individualise the age care experience
