Superannuation: Employer contribution of 11%

 

About the role

Do you have a passion and desire to stay in the health, food, or hospitality industries? 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated chef or cook to join our food services team at WDHS Hamilton Base Hospital on a full-time or part-time basis.

Hamilton Base Hospital Chefs and / or cooks are responsible for preparing meals for acute patients & aged-care residents, catering, and preparing healthy nutritious meals in our Green Bean Café. Responsibilities include cooking, chilling, preparation, storage of food items, cleaning of kitchen, plating, presentation and general kitchen duties.

The suitable applicant will work with our Head Chef and report directly to our Food Services Manager and Group Manager of Support Services. 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a food services team that strives for excellence. Typically, this permanent position is weekday Monday to Friday shifts between 6.30am and 2.30pm, work may include some weekends and public holidays.

 

You will bring:

  •  Industry experience and/or equivalent hospitality experience
  •  Passion to lead and provide continuous improvement

  •  Excellent communication and organisational skills
  •  Appetite to provide high level of services to staff and clients
