Classification: YP3 - YP9 based on experience

 

Salary Range: $36.10 to $48.26 per hour

 

Location: Hamilton Base Hospital

About the role

An exciting opportunity for a division 1 Registered Nurse to work in our new and modern Cancer Dialysis Centre at WDHS Hamilton Base Hospital. 

Applicants will have previous experience in acute care and have completed two years post-graduation. An interest in developing skills in rehabilitation, oncology or critical care will be highly regarded.

The candidate will be required to work under the supervision of an experienced Haemodialysis nurse, until confident or competent. If training is required, they will be given the opportunity to do the Haemodialysis Course through the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Most staff are trained in both oncology and dialysis.

The selected candidate will be encouraged to do the chemotherapy modules 1 and 2 course through the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre after a period of time.

  • Ensure all client documentation is accurate and complete, and meets statutory, government and organizational requirements.
  • Be involved in the provision of outcome-based nursing practice by participating in the development and implementation of a planned care approach and standards that are outcome based.
  • Work in collaboration to coordinate, manage and evaluate service delivery within a best practice framework.
  • Ensure that patient and workflow for the oncology and dialysis services is maintained.

The successful applicant will hold, or be able to obtain, a current National Criminal Police/NDIS Check. Dependant on your position you may be required to obtain a Working with Children Check Clearance, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check and / or NDIS Worker Screening Check. All successful applicants are to comply with WDHS immunisation and vaccination requirements, including COVID and Booster.
