About the role
Western District Health Service is seeking Instrument Technicians to join our Operation Theatre team. Duties in the Central Sterilising Stores Department (CSSD) include cleaning, sterilising and packaging medical instruments and equipment.
The successful applicants will be well organised and have the ability to maintain high standards according to infection control and cleaning / sterilising guidelines.
The applicant will also have the ability to work as a member of a team, as well as independently.
You will bring:
- A Certificate III or IV in Health – Sterilising Practice for Technicians course or equivalent would be advantageous but not a pre-requisite
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to work with a high level of autonomy and accountability

The successful candidate must have or obtain a National Criminal Police Check. Depending on the role, a Working with Children Check Clearance, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check, and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check may also be required. All employees must comply with WDHS vaccination requirements, including COVID and Booster shots. WDHS is a smoke-free workplace.
